Jimmy Garoppolo contract details reveal QB will make up to $42.6 million next season

On Thursday, Jimmy Garoppolo officially signed a five-year deal with the 49ers, and on Friday the exact details of the contract have the deal have been released.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the deal is worth a total of $137.5 million and it will pay Garoppolo up to $42.6 million in 2018. He will earn $6.2 million in base salary, a $7 million signing bonus, a $28 million roster bonus, a $600,000 workout bonus and an $800,000 per-game roster bonus.

In 2019, he will make a total up to $18.6 million. If Garoppolo is cut following the second season, he will make $10 million more ($61.2 million) than what he would have made if he was franchised twice.
