With Matt Patricia spending so much time in New England, some might be inclined to compare his style to Bill Belichick now that he's with the Lions.

Speaking at his introductory press conference in Detroit on Wednesday, Patricia made it clear he doesn't want to be compared to Belichick, as he's his own guy.

"Just as far as coach Belichick is concerned, I'll say this: He's one of the most amazing coaches I've ever been around," Patricia said to reporters. "The way that he looks at the game, his vision of the game, the way he sees the game move and change before it actually does, it's unbelievable. I'll say this: There's only one Coach Belichick. That's it. He's amazing. He's in New England. I'm Matt Patricia. I'm kind of my own person. I'm my own guy. I've got my own style."

As for any concerns over him wearing a Roger Goodell clown t-shirt last year, general manager Bob Quinn said he was asked about it roughly 30 times at the Super Bowl and it was briefly discussed with Patricia and was not looked upon as an issue.

The Lions will host the Patriots next season.
