Sources: Rob Gronkowski 'will absolutely be good to go' for Super Bowl LII

January 25, 2018 - 4:16 pm

Rob Gronkowski left the AFC championship game with a concussion just before halftime, but it's looking like he will be back for Super Bowl LII.

Gronkowski “will absolutely be good to go” for the Super Bowl, sources tell Kirk Minihane of the Kirk & Callahan show. The tight end is already working out in the facility. He would have missed practice Wednesday if the Patriots would have practiced, according to a hypothetical injury report, and he did not practice Thursday.

In order to play, he will need to pass the concussion protocol.

The tight end finished the regular season with 69 catches for 1,084 yards and eight touchdowns. He was named a first-team All-Pro.

The Patriots and Eagles will meet Feb. 4 in Minnesota.
