AROUND THE WEB:

-- Tom Brady has topped merchandise sales once again this year for the second time in three years, according to the NFLPA.

In a press release on Thursday, the NFLPA announced Brady started and ended the season in first place on the association’s Top 50 Player Sales List.

The list represents total sales of officially licensed NFL player merchandise and tracks year-end results from March 1, 2017 through February 28, 2018.

Dak Prescott came in at No. 2 followed by Carson Wentz at No. 3, Ezekiel Elliott in fourth and Antonio Brown in fifth place.

Eli Manning landed in the 49th spot and Jameis Winston rounded out the list at No. 50.

-- The PawSox have announced the team will hold an “Evil Empire Weekend” at McCoy Stadium on May 5 and 6 against Yankees affiliate Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

And there are some strict rules.

“To start, any fans named Joe or Kelly will be admitted for free to that weekend’s games, while any fans self-identifying as Tylers or Austins will be banned from the premises,” the team’s statement reads. “In addition, fans who confess to being named Aaron, Gary, Aroldis, Didi, CC, Jacoby, Masahiro, Giancarlo (or Mike) will be charged double the price of a regular ticket. All Yankee fans will, of course, be warmly welcomed.”

"We're excited to celebrate 'Evil Empire Weekend,' as we welcome our rivals from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre," PawSox executive vice president and general manager Dan Rea said. "Our chairman, Larry Lucchino, famously described the Yankees as the 'Evil Empire' years ago, and we're all looking forward to hosting the 'Little Evil Empire' right here at McCoy Stadium in early May."

Festivities will include an anti-Yankees costume contest, a Yankees dunk tank and highlights from the 2004 ALCS will be shown on the jumbotron.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “For generations of Patriots fans, Gil Santos was and forever will be known as the ‘Voice of the Patriots.’ Tonight, I am deeply saddened to learn of his passing on a day that he was celebrating his 80th birthday and his 57th wedding anniversary to his wife, Roberta.” -- Robert Kraft, in a statement on the passing of Gil Santos on Thursday
