-- Donnie Wahlberg defended Gisele Bundchen recently for her post-Super Bowl comments to her children about the Patriots loss.

Bundchen was criticized by some who thought she meant the Patriots “let” the Eagles win, when really she was just consoling her 5-year-old daughter.

On his Sirius XM radio show, Wahlberg called Bundchen a “great mom.”

“She said it’s OK because we’ve won a bunch of times and the other team’s never won and we should be happy for them,” Wahlberg said. “Whatever Gisele said to the kids, they got the message right.”

“Thank you Donnie,” Bundchen tweeted to Wahlberg.

Wahlberg also said his Blue Bloods co-star Bridget Moynahan, the mother of Tom Brady’s son Jack, doesn’t say much about Brady and Bundchen but when she does she speaks highly of them.

“It’s always complimentary about how much of a great team they are raising the kids,” Wahlberg said.
