Streaming WEEI on my mobile handset


You can now listen to all of your favorite WEEI shows on your mobile smart phone!

If you own a BlackBerry or iPhone, you can now stream WEEI original programming wherever you have a cell signal. WEEI is now streaming through FlyCast.

If you have a Blackberry or iPhone, here are instructions for streaming WEEI:
BlackBerry

This version of FlyCast for BlackBerry works on BlackBerry Bold phones with OS version 4.6, on BlackBerry Curve phones with OS 4.5(Sprint, Verizon and other CDMA networks) and OS 4.3 (AT&T, T-Mobile and other 3G networks) and BlackBerry Storm phones with OS 4.7. If you need to upgrade your phone’s OS, please do so before installing and using the FlyCast application.

To install FlyCast on your BlackBerry, navigate to this page on your BlackBerry and click on this link: http://www.flycast.fm/blackberry/download/flycast.jad

When the installation dialog comes up, click "Set Application Permissions" and then click "Download". On the configuration screen, change the "Connections" and "Interactions" settings from "Custom" to "Allow". Press "Back" and then "Save"

The application will download and install.

If you have a Bold - Run "FlyCast" from the Downloads folder

If you have a Curve - Run "FlyCast" from the general "Ribbon"

Optimizing WEEI Mobile on your BlackBerry


In order to get the best experience on your BlackBerry, make sure your device browser is optimized by having tables and CSS optimized, here are the instructions.

1.    Press the BlackBerry button (7 black dots)
2.    Choose “Options”
3.    The choose “General Properties”
4.    Set Default Browser to “Internet Browser”
5.    Press the BlackBerry button again
6.    Save Options
7.    Choose “Browser Configuration”
8.    Check the following boxes
o    Support HTML Tables
o    Support Javascript
o    Use Background and Foreground colors
o    Use Background Items
