Brain Tumor Research Golf & Tennis Classic

Join former Bruin Mike Milbury and dozens of leaders in the business and medical communities to support the Brain Science Foundation. Tee It Up for Brain Tumor Research will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Willowbend Country Club in Mashpee, Massachusetts.
Enjoy a great day on the golf course or tennis courts while helping to raise much needed funds for brain tumor research. Join the fun by participating in our contests, including putting contest and a Shoot Out competition. Prizes are also awarded for those who shoot closest to the pin. Guest will also enjoy bidding on varied auction items, including artwork, sports & theater tickets, and sports memorabilia. Golfers will enjoy 18 holes on the Bend & the Bog, two of Willowbend's courses, while tennis players participate in a round robin format. After the tournament, please join us for a reception followed by dinner in Willowbend's clubhouse. The evening culminates in an exciting awards ceremony, where top golfers and tennis players are awarded and auction item winners are announced!
Registration will open at 10:00 AM. Guests are welcome to warm up at the driving range and putting green, and to join us for lunch on the terrace before the competition begins. Golfers will assemble at 11:45 AM for a 12:00 Noon Shotgun start. The tennis tournament will begin at 1:30 PM.
All profits from the event go toward funding critical brain tumor research at Brigham & Women's Hospital, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Children's Hospital Boston.

Both Xander Bogaerts and Anthony Ranaudo punctuated their strong 2013 seasons with head-turning events on June 13. On that day, Bogaerts, the Red Sox' top prospect, was promoted from Double-A Portland Pawtucket, with the 20-year-old becoming one of the youngest position players in the affiliate's history. On that same day, right-hander Anthony Ranaudo punched out 13 batters for Double-A Portland, the most strikeouts by a Red Sox minor leaguer since Jon Lester in 2005.
