Hundreds of Motorcycles, Corvettes and Classic Cars are coming together on Sunday September 21st for the 6th annual Run for the Roses to benefit the fight against family violence.
The event is in memory of Rachel and Lillian Rose Entwistle who fell victims of family violence when their husband, Neil Entwistle took their lives while they lay innocently in bed at their home in Hopkinton in January, 2006. Neil, who had fled to England, was returned to the US where he was later convicted and is currently serving two consecutive life sentences.
While past years events have been unbelievable successful, the sheer number of vehicles has forced us to modify this year's event in the interest of safety to a Motorcycle Run and a Car SHOW to include Corvettes, Hot Rods and Classic Cars.
We also will have on hand, representatives from several of the family violence service providers present that can provide contact information for anyone that might need to reach out for assistance for yourselves or someone you know.
Please join this year’s exciting Run for the Roses and have a great time while perhaps helping to save other families from going through the grief that too many have already gone through.
There will be T-Shirts for every entrant, cookout/pig roast, raffle, and live music!
When: September 21st, 2014
Where: Starting and ending at the Whiteman VFW 95 Essex Street, Whitman, MA.
