Never doing that again! #AirBrady

Posted by Tom Brady on Saturday, March 28, 2015

People have been freaking out about this video, and will no doubt continue to. But not me.

I’m terrified of two things in this world: Heights, and injuries to Tom Brady. (And also of clowns, but that’s a topic for another discussion.) So you’d think this would have petrified me, but you’d be wrong. Because I believe in a higher power that would never let anything bad happen to Tom Brady, and that higher power is called Tom Brady.

Any quarterback that can throw four touchdown passes to four different receivers and overcome a 10-point deficit with 12 minutes left against a defense that was top three in every category and do it at the age of 37 can do anything. If he’d gone off course and started heading for the rocks, he would’ve just turned back toward the water. Or hovered in mid-air. Or flown back up to the ledge. When you’re the true G.O.A.T., gravity isn’t a law; it’s more of a guideline.

If anything, I’m surprised he didn’t just do a soft landing on the water and walk across to the shore. But that would be showing off.
