BBCA jellyfish was handed to police in Australia under the mistaken belief it was a breast implant and possible evidence of a crime.

A concerned man submitted the “bagged and tagged circular object” to officers in Maroochydore, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast late last week.

He feared it might have indicated a drowning or possibly a murder.

The police station said in a statement that they had soon confirmed the find was not sinister.

“Officers at Maroochydore Station were all hands on deck when, much to their initial alarm, a concerned citizen attended the counter to report a possible homicide,” said the statement.

“Investigations revealed what police suspected… the item was indeed a jellyfish.”

Colin Sparkes, from Surf Life Saving Queensland, said the discovery was most likely a blubber jellyfish.

He said the species was commonly found in Queensland waters and its sting was irritating, but not dangerous.

“[The] tentacles have been knocked off by wave action or eaten by fish,” he said of the one handed to police.

It doesn’t say where this was found but I’m guessing, and hoping, it was the beach.

And if someone with breast implants had drowned, I’m assuming the implants wouldn’t just float away.

This sounds like a guy who watches a lot of crime shows and is on the lookout for possible murders to solve. However, he did in fact find a dead body because it sounds like the jellyfish was murdered.

Kirk Minihane, WEEI Podcast King, talks to the Podcast Godfather Adam Carolla about his new documentary about Le Mans, the backlash from the Election, and his time with Donald Trump on the Apprentice. The audio quality isn't great but the conversation is.

You can see here Brittney and Rhonda’s systematic thought process as they whisper back and forth to each other before ultimately coming up with gynecologist.

Of course, it could have been professional gynecologist, to differentiate from all those amateur gynecologists out there.

Rhonda and Britt took one for the women’s rights team on this one. I applaud them.

And Pat Sajak being the pro that he is is not shocked at all with his “I knew that was coming.” The guy has seen everything at this point.

— Von Miller’s sex tape co-star, Elizabeth Ruiz, is speaking out about why she taped her love-making session with the Broncos linebacker.

Ruiz told TMZ she is not out to extort Miller but wanted to keep the tape for herself.

“I used it to pleasure myself,” Ruiz said.

Ruiz claims everything she did with Miller, including making the video, “was consensual.”

“He had recorded clips on his phone as well,” Ruiz said. “….He never asked me to delete it. Not once.”

Ruiz also said she never wanted to ask Miller for money.

“I never, never, never, never went up to Von and asked for $2.5 million or for a dollar,” Ruiz said. It wasn’t until his lawyers made an offer that her lawyers counter-offered with an amount.

— Iman Shumpert made a bold political statement in an interview with Complex magazine published on Tuesday.

When asked if he will go to the White House with his Cavaliers if they win the NBA Championship, Shumpert flat out said no.

“I’m not going to the White House,” Shumpert responded.

“I do think he’s crazy—straight up. I think he did that stuff to get people to think he’s willing to shake it up,” Shumpert said. “But did I vote for him? No. The other stuff that comes with him, I can’t get with. But now that he’s here, I’m not finna drag my feet. I gotta work here, at least until the offseason, if I wanna go get a crib in the Islands.”

ICYMI:

Paul Pierce, 39, showed his age when he missed a dunk during the Clippers’ 127-122 loss to the Nets Tuesday night.

Chris Paul even pretended to give Pierce CPR when he fell to the floor.

Pierce announced in October he plans to retire as a Celtic after this season.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: “The fact that Tommy is still playing at the level he’s at is pretty impressive. You guys know, you wear everybody out talking about his diet and exercise regimen but it’s working. That combined with the fact you can’t hit the quarterback anymore these days has allowed him to play a lot longer.” — Drew Bledsoe, speaking in Foxboro on Wednesday about Tom Brady’s success at the age of 39

THIS DAY IN SPORTS HISTORY: In 2013 the Patriots beat the Texans 34-31 to seal their ninth win of the season. Tom Brady threw for 371 yards and two touchdowns. Stephen Gostkowski made two long field goals. The Patriots were down by 10 at halftime before a second half with five lead changes. The Texans’ record fell to 2-10.
