If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times: SIAC cheerleading is not for the feint of heart — it’s a dog eat dog world, and those girls are carrying Milk Bone pom poms.

I’m sure tournament officials will pretend to be shocked and the administrations at Tuskegee and Albany State will issue statements about how this doesn’t reflect their values, blah, blah, blah, but those young ladies know better. It’s all about pep and making human pyramids and getting the crowd going. SIAC cheering is a bloodsport. It takes passion. It takes pride. And it takes the guts to stand up to those stuck up jerkfaces on the other sidelines who think their choreography is so much better than yours.

So don’t try to give these cheerios any of your “It’s supposed to be about sportsmanship.” BS. Save that for the players. This a Cheer-ocracy. Hate them ’cause their beautiful, but they don’t like you either:

Real Estate site HouselyIf you live outside of Boston, chances are you don’€™t know about the unwritten rule that when it snows and you shovel out your car from a parking spot, you leave a placeholder and the spot is yours when you return. …

However, we had our faith in humanity restored by this one story of a young woman named Jenn that lost the parking spot she shoveled out, but got it back in a way that you won’€™t believe.

As tempted as she might have been to get revenge on the person who took her spot by shoveling snow back on top of their car, she decided to write a letter and put it on their windshield.

“Dear Fellow Snow Champion,

I get it! This storm is THE WORST!!! Parking is near impossible!! However, I spent HOURS shoveling this precious parking spot. Unfortunately my ‘€œforgetful’€ friend forgot to put my cooler back to save my spot.

(Sidenote! There are 30 beers in there –€“ please help yourself.)

My ‘€œforgetful’€ friend should have run the cooler back, but pulled a Seahawk move and allowed you to pick my spot.

If I could pull a Brady and give you a truck for your troubles, I would! But all I can give you is GOOD KARMA!!!

Thank you!!

Love Always,

Jenn
XO”

I can’t imagine a better and more heartwarming tale. Can there be a better tribute to the Patriots Super Bowl title and the profound impact it’s had on the quality of our lives than this? That championship has not only helped us endure the endless, bleak, Chekovian Snowpocalypse, it’s now bringing people together.

Think about it. The parking war is the single most divisive issue of our times. It’s driving neighbors apart. Divided families. Pitted brother against brother. But in the midst of all the destruction, bloodshed and inhumanity, along comes my girl Jenn with a peace offering based on the goodwill engendered by that fourth Lombardi trophy. This is like that story about the Christmas Eve in World War I, when the two sides came out of their trenches to share tea and tobacco. Only Jenn offered a 30-pack, good karma and the love of a fellow Patriots fan.

What else can you think of that’s capable of bringing peace between warring factions like this? Every other aspect of culture has failed to do the trick. Politics. Technology. Diplomacy. Freedom. The arts. Religion sure as hell hasn’t helped, but the shared appreciation of another Boston championship brought a great big warm glass of the milk of human kindness to the middle of this massive conflict. It really does renew your faith in mankind.

So thank you Jenn, whomever you are. You can have my parking spot any time. Go Pats.
