Boston College senior Tyrese Rice has been selected to play in the 2009 Hershey’s College All-Star Game as part of Final Four Friday at Ford Field in Detroit in an announcement made by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. All players in the game are seniors.
Rice will play for the Reese’s All-Stars. The team will be coached by Illinois’ Bruce Weber and Purdue’s Matt Painter. Among Rice’s teammates are West Virginia’s Alex Ruoff, Xavier’s B.J. Raymond, UCLA’s Alfred Aboya, Wisconsin’s John Bryant and Gongaza’s Josh Heytvelt. Rice’s team will play the Hershey’s All-Stars, which will be led by former Arkansas coach Nolan Richardson.
