FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Kevin Youkilis (left ankle and Achilles tendonitis) is scheduled to return to game activity on Monday. The first baseman will play in the field and take a couple of at-bats against the Tigers. J.D. Drew (bruised right hand) is a couple days behind his teammate. He is not yet swinging, but with the outfielder's swelling diminished, the team is hopeful that Drew might be able to play in a game on Wednesday, prior to an off-day on Thursday. Third baseman Mike Lowell, meanwhile, will play on Monday, marking the first time since returning from hip surgery this spring that he has played back-to-back games.
