The NBA has announced that there will be no penalties for an incident that occurred between Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo and his New Orleans Hornets counterpart, Chris Paul, following the Celtics' Sunday night win at the TD Garden. Paul pursued Rondo toward the C's locker room after the game before being blocked by assistant coaches.
Celtics coach Doc Rivers addressed the situation when speaking on the Dennis & Callahan Show Thursday morning: "It’s a competition, and it’s great to play in great competition, but once the game is over then the competition is over and you let it go. I thought during the game it was more Paul. That’s part of competition. But once the game is over, you let it go. You shake the guy's hand and say, 'We’ll get you again.' "
