FOXBORO -- Tom Brady did not speak publicly Friday about his car accident on Thursday or his reported four-year, $72 million contract extension. But his coach did offer some gracious words for his Pro Bowl quarterback.
"There's no quarterback I'd rather have than Tom Brady," Bill Belichick said. "He does a great job for us in all phases of the game. I think Tom, myself and all the rest of us are trying to get ready for Cincinnati."
The Patriots host the Bengals at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Gillette Stadium in the season opener for both teams.
