After going hitless in his first three at-bats in his Red Sox debut, Adam LaRoche drilled the first pitch he saw from Mark Hendrickson in the bottom of the eighth into the first row of Monster seats for a two-run homer as Boston beat the Orioles, 7-2, Saturday night at Fenway Park. David Ortiz also belted a three-run homer to the seats in center in the first in support of winner Jon Lester. The Sox lefty scattered eight hits and two runs over 7 1/3 innings to improve to 9-7 on the season. The Red Sox shoot for the three-game sweep on Sunday afternoon.
