FOXBORO -- Rob Gronkowski was officially listed as "limited" in his return to Patriots practice on Friday and the team lists him as questionable for a Sunday night return to action against the 49ers at Gillette Stadium.
Gronkowski was seen flexing his left hand as he was running sprints at the start of practice as the team worked out in sweats and shells. Gronkowski wasn't wearing any apparent protection on the left forearm that was surgically repaired after it was broken on Nov. 18 against the Colts. Gronkowski was not in the locker room to talk to reporters during media availability after practice.
Starting left tackle Nate Solder was also added to the injury report on Friday and was limited in practice with an abdomen injury. He is among 19 players listed as questionable for Sunday night.
Also among the large group listed as questionable were Aqib Talib (hip) and Alfonzo Dennard (hamstring) who returned on Thursday to practice in a limited capacity.
For the 49ers, wide receiver Mario Manningham did not practice after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday and is listed as "doubtful" for Sunday.
