NHL players, owners to meet Wednesday

 

A group of NHL owners and players will reconvene in New York on Wednesday as they meet for the second consecutive day. Wednesday's meetings will follow a productive session on Tuesday that reportedly left both sides optimistic that progress was being made. 

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman and NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr were not present for Tuesday's meetings, which were limited to select players and owners, a group that included Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs. 

Thus far, games have been canceled through Dec. 14 due to a lack of a collective bargaining agreement.
