FOXBORO -- The Patriots on Monday listed Rob Gronkowski as one of three players who would not be able to practice if the team held an on-field workout. The team is expected to hit the practice field on Tuesday for the first time in advance of playing the Jets on Thanksgiving night at MetLife Stadium.
Gronkowski broke his left forearm blocking on the eighth and final extra point in Sunday's 59-24 rout of the Colts at Gillette Stadium. He had surgery on Monday morning and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
Also listed as "DNP" were Chandler Jones and Logan Mankins. Jones injured his right ankle in the first half Sunday and did not return while Mankins hasn't practiced in two weeks and missed Sunday's games with calf and ankle injuries.
The Patriots also listed 13 as limited. The team will practice on Tuesday before leaving on Wednesday for New York and Thursday night's game. Here is the NFL-mandated "hypothetical" injury report from Monday:
