Royals outfielder Coco Crisp, whom the Red Sox traded to Kansas City for Ramon Ramirez prior to this season, could have a torn labrum that would require season-ending surgery, the Kansas City Star reports. Crisp is scheduled to visit Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., next week. If he does have a torn labrum, according to the report, the Royals and the centerfielder would have to decide between surgery and a program of rest that, to date, has had discouraging results.
