Patriots coach Bill Belichick offered a somber and stark analysis of his team's 24-23 loss to the Seahawks on Sunday.
"All the way across the board, everybody involved in the game, none of us did a good enough job," he said. "The result is what it was. It's just not good enough."
Belichick added, "Nothing we did today was good enough. On offense, defense, special teams, coaches, players, everybody involved in the game. It just wasn't good enough. We all made mistakes. We had our chances, we just didn't do a good enough job."
On the drive at the end of the first half that ended prematurely after Tom Brady was called for grounding leading to a 10-second run-off on the game clock, Belichick said he felt they had time to run a play and kick a field goal. It ultimately cost them at least three points.
"We just didn't play well the whole game today," Belichick said. 'It was the end of the game, it was the first half, the second half. We played in spurts. We just didn't play well enough and when we had chances, we didn't take advantage of them."
