Red Sox shortstop Jed Lowrie hoped to take tosses in hitting drills for the first time today, having only hit off a tee. Lowrie said that the strength in his surgically-repaired left wrist was the measured as the best since his injury originally occurred, having last tested it Friday. "So far, so good," Lowrie said. "Hopefully it continues to go that way." Lowrie says he still doesn't have a firm date for a return to game action.
