The Patriots released defensive lineman Landon Cohen on Tuesday. Cohen, 6-foot-3 and 300 pounds, went to training camp with the Patriots this past summer but was released on Sept. 3 before being re-signed on Sept. 21. He played in a reserve role last Sunday at Buffalo. Cohen was originally signed by the Patriots on December 22, 2010 and played in two games with one start, finishing with four tackles. He is a veteran of three NFL seasons after spending time with the Detroit Lions (2008-09), Jacksonville Jaguars (2010) and Patriots (2010).
