The Dennis & Callahan Show mourns the loss of Avalanna Routh

The adorable Avalanna Routh, who was diagnosed at 9 months old with a rare brain cancer called AT/RT, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 26th. Listen to Dennis & Callahan react to the extremely sad news. You may remember her from when she joined the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon and proclaimed her love for Justin Bieber (click through for audio and video). In fact, Avalanna had the chance to "marry him" thanks to the Jimmy Fund.

As a result of an aggressive social media campaign, Avalanna was afforded the chance to meet her "husband," Justin Bieber this past year. She joined D&C in studio on Valentine's Day to talk about her special experience. A recap of that day is listed in the links below.

This Week on Dennis & Callahan

Monday - Gerry, John, and Kirk recap the busy sports weekend, including the latest on the Sox and Bruins. NESN's Barry Pederson (8:25 a.m.) and Bruins forward Shawn Thornton (9:05 a.m.) discuss the B's Game 2 victory.

Tuesday - Have your opinion be heard! Send in a text at 37937. The guys talk some Bruins-Rangers with Newsday's Steve Zipay (8:25 a.m.) and CBC's Elliotte Friedman (9:25 a.m.).

Wednesday - The Black and Gold played last night in New York and the guys recap it all on today's show with Barry Pederson (8:25 a.m.) and Shawn Thornton (9:05 a.m.). Also the Sox will be playing host to the Indians tomorrow, so former Boston skipper Terry Francona checks in at 9:35 a.m.
