Personalities
- The Dale & Holley Show – The names on the midday show marquee since March 1st 2005
- Dale Arnold – Hosted a show on WEEI since 1991. Does sports play by play as a hobby.
- Michael Holley – WEEI host during mid-days. Writes books and does TV on the side.
- Big Game James – Nickname given to producer Jimmy Stewart. He once saved the 2007 Red Sox World Series Trophy. The City of Boston says otherwise.
- Berger – Too many Michaels meant that producer Michael Berger loses his first name. His hobbies include saving another AM talk stations website.
- John Wallace – Nickname given to sports flasher Jon Wallach after calling Michael Smith, Mike Reiss.
- Announcer Boy – Jim Cutler, he voices the open and spots for WEEI
- Julie – Julie Kahn is the VP of Entercom in the New England Market. She signs the checks for WEEI.
- Wolfie – Jason Wolfe runs WEEI, he also runs an AM talk station down the hall and helps all of Entercom’s sports programming. He’s kind of a big deal.
- Tim Murphy – He’s the digital mastermind that runs dot com.
- “Grand Puba” Rob Bradford – He’s second in command at dot com. He writes blogs, breaks stories and creates content.
- MOZdiez – He worked in promotions at one time, now works on dot com. We thought he had a drinking problem, but it was just bad information. Sorry MOZdiez family.
- Neumy – Bob Neumeier was Dale’s co-host from February 2002 until February 2005. He likes horses.
- U-Mass Mark – He was an intern for the show, who now does flashes whenever asked.
- Larry David – Former Intern of the show, Michael Holley had no idea what his name was so he called him Larry David. He now writes for the Boston Phoenix, for legal reasons we can’t give out his real name.
- Dan Duquette – Nickname for a former intern who had the personality of the former Red Sox General Manager. He was awkward and doesn’t even know who Dan Duquette is.
Dale’s Vernacular
- Bowdoin – Where Dale graduated college from.
- Papoose Pond – It’s Dale’s annual summer trip to Maine.
- God’s Country – Dale’s opinion of Maine
- Dale’s Choice – A caller thought Dale should tell everyone he had a choice when the Bruins and NESN let him go from his play by play job. Yeah, the caller is a jerk and so is whoever signed off on letting Dale go.
- The Maine Mariners – Dale’s first play by play hockey job, he also did PR, produced and may have played a shift or two. Dale got a ring with this team.
- Ikie Balookie – A word Dale created on the fly. We think it means mad or crazy or maybe both.
- Semantics – You know the definition; Dale just uses the word a lot.
- Point Park University deli and bank – Dale’s way of saying Holley went to a school that is less than Bowdoin.
Holley’s Slang
- Point Park University - Where Michael graduated college from.
- Patriots Reign – Michael Holley’s first book. He did it with Bill Belichick during the 2001 Patriots Championship Season. Good timing!
- Never Give Up – Michael Holley’s second book. It focused on Tedy Bruschi’s choice to return to playing football or not.
- Red Sox Rule – Michael’s third book. Talks about Terry Francona and the 2007 World Championship team.
- Ohio State – Michael Holley’s favorite college football team
- Holley Hockey Minute – Michael Holley’s spontaneous rant relating to the Bruins or Hockey.
- Mike Lang – Pittsburgh Penginus play by play radio announcer who has over the top goal calls. It signifies the end of the Holley Hockey Minute.
- Ellis Hobbs – Michael Holley’s favorite football player. Well, at least at one time. To profess his love we play “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston.
- Uncle Dave – Former Head Coach of the Boston Bruins who read “Patriot Reign”.
- Yards after the Catch – The non-NFL YAC is when a guest of the show takes a small piece of information and talks for more than 3 minutes about it. See Peter King as exhibit A.

- Richard Seymour – All Pro defensive lineman who talks to us during Patriots Monday.
- Vince Wilfork – All Pro defensive lineman who talks to us during Patriots Monday. He loves Phil Collins “In the Air Tonight.”
- Tedy Bruschi - All Pro Linebacker who talks to us during Patriots Monday. He also wrote a book with Michael Holley.
- Ty Warren - All Pro defensive lineman who talks to us during Patriots Monday.

- Gap Band – the intro theme before someone gets blown up
- Davio’s Football League – Steve DiFillippo sponsors the Dale and Holley Fantasy Football League, so we named it after his restaurant in Boston and now Foxboro at Patriots Place.
- Red Sox Second Guess – A contest where you send us questions to have Red Sox Manager Terry Francona answer. Weekly winners got something cool from Mohegan Sun. One winner got lunch in Terry’s office.
- Outstanding – A sound effect signifying an outstanding moment during the show. These are tough to get.
- The Lightning Round – A controversy segment created and copyrighted by Michael Holley. Butch Sterns, Bob Lobel and Jon Wallach all have their own versions of the segment.
- Fog Hat – The former open music to the Dale and Holley Show. The song’s name was “I just want to make love to you”.
- Behind the Glass – The name of the show’s blog, Producers’ Big Game James and Berger write there.
- Fred from NH – A passionate Bruins fan who calls in during the program. He finally got tickets to a game thanks to Holley and the Bruins.
- Steve from Fall River – Patriots Season ticket holder who always has something negative to say about the home team.
- Cape and a Cane – Nickname for former producer Rene’ Marchando, when he walks into places he wears a cape, carries a cane and Barry White music plays.
