Thanks to all for what you are doing. My wife is a breast cancer survivor.

Our Daughter Mila Rose Palhais, now 4 years old, was diagnosed last winter with a rare eye cancer that has since claimed her left eye. Her eye was removed this June and she is learning how to now go through life with vision in only 1 eye. She is making great strides towards becoming a cancer survivor. It will take time, many more tests, and certainly many more trips to Boston, but we are in it to win it! We have learned so much while going through this journey with cancer in our lives. It is amazing to watch our daughter fight this cancer creature with ease. Her strength makes us stronger. We owe so much to Dana Farber, The Jimmy Fund Clinic, Children's Hospital and Mila's team of doctors. Without them, we as a family would not be where we are today. Thank you Weei and NESN for helping in this fight against cancer. Your efforts help make so many things possible for all families touched by cancer. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

my mom lost her younger son my young brother steven paul mehegan to lieukemia since i am now an only child when it came time to give my brother a bone marrow transplant my mom & dad were not the correct match it turned out i was the correct match for my mom's younger son my brother i gave him 6 more years to live to which if i had not gave him 6 more years he needed he would have passed away i feel extrememly brave i know the bone marrow transplant was done at the childrens hospital in boston i still tear up when i think of my brother i feel ver proud of what i did had i not done it sooner

Great job guys, we're so looking forward to the next 2 days! You do a great job, and this Telethon highlights the doctors, nurses, and especially, the beautiful kids at our Jimmy Fund!

We've been driving from the Berkshires to Boston for almost 18 years so my father can participate in both treatment and research for prostate cancer. Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund may not be near... but they are both VERY dear to our hearts. Just like the Red Sox!!

My family had the privilege of telling our son Nicholas' story on the air yesterday on The Big O show. We wish we had 5 hours to describe to everyone what the past year of our lives have been like and how we struggled to to stay strong as a family. We'd more so speak of the tremendous staff at the Jimmy Fund. Please, if there's one message you hear these days, let it be how fragile life is and how in an instant everything you thought about your families future can change. The doctors, nurses, and staff at the JF clinic do God's work, period! They don't treat the disease - they treat the life. Their lone focus is to provide everything possible so parents like us can watch our children outlive us. There is no cause on this earth greater than to save a child's lives, so please do not let an opportunity to help a cause like this pass you by.

My son Christopher was diagnosed with Leukemia on December 28, 2008. Christopher lost his battle on October 16, 2009. Chris had Down Syndrome and was happy child all the time. Listening to the telethon over the last 2 days has been amazing. I can't even begin to tell you what the Jimmy Fund Clinic has done for my family during that battle. I remember the day we got the news that he had Leukemia. I was throwing up for days over this. Once I pulled myself together, we sat with the staff at Childrens and the Jimmy Fund and we went forward with how we were going to treat Chris. Never once did that child ever complain. The only issue he had was he did not want to lose his hair. The day we decided to shave him, I shaved my head at home and showed up and told him everything would be fine. He was so excited. Christopher had the opportunity to attend a couple of Red Sox events. What Martha, Jen, Lisa and all of the staff do at the Jimmy Fund is simply amazing. When you step foot into that clinic they do everything they can to make sure the kids and their families are comfortable and try to make the day as normal as possible. WE were also fortunate enough to meet several great kids and families through this process. Chris was part of the Thursday crew. Him and several teenagers would take over an infusion area and enjoy each others company for the day ahead. These are friends we will have forever. All I can say is please pick up the phone and donate so no family has to go through the pain and suffering our family has gone through. Thank You Jay and LInda Barnes

My daughter Brooke was diagnosed with Leukemia September 30, 2010. After she finally went into remission she needed a Bone Marrow Transplant, which she received on February 3, 2011. She has been going to the Jimmy Fund Clinic weekly for almost 3 months now and EVERYONE there is wonderful! Thank God for the doctors, nurses, child life specialists and volunteers at both Children's Hospital and The Jimmy Fund Clinic. The children are treated special and so are the families! Thanks to the Jimmy Fund for taking such great care of my daughter and thanks to all of the donors for helping them keep making great things happen in this life changing setting.

The tears flow quite easily when listening to the young children whose courage I could never hope to match. God Bless all who work and give to this noble cause.
