I was a patient at Dana-Farber in the 1970's after being diagnosed at 18 months with uterine cancer. The top notch treatment I received there and at Boston Childrens Hospital is undoubtedly the reason I am alive today. A few years ago, I started a team for the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Since then, that team has doubled in size and I have increased my participation to volunteer at other Jimmy Fund events. I can't say how happy it makes me to give my time to help fundraise for such a worthy cause. Looking forward to answering phones again tonight and will be escpecially happy to be there when the final total is announced. Keep up the good work and I'll be there to help in any way I can along the way!!
Donating in memory of my Mom, Peggy Dillingham, who died from colon cancer. I know what cancer is and I hope my donation does some good. Thank you Dana Farber for all you do for cancer patients. Hopefully someday we will find a cure.

Dana Farber/Jimmy Fund
Keep up the great work that you do for the children. You make all of us proud to be from this great area where so many medical advancements are made each and every day.
I am giving total of $ 50.00 to the Jimmy Fund on July 5th the death of Ted williams and on August 30, 2013 the birthday of ted williams $25.00 each day. In honor of Ted Williams. I have had sink cancer in my life time
In March of 2013 I was diagnosed with Adrenocortical carcinoma, a very rare cancer of the adrenal gland. I had my surgery in May 2013 to remove the tumor, and now I am a patient at Dana Farber. I have found all the people, doctors and nurses wonderful to deal with. As I am just starting out with my chemo treatments, I know that I am in good hands. Thank you WEEI for all that you do with the telethon and helping Dana Farber raise money for further research to "strike out cancer"
Godspeed to EVERYBODY involved in any aspect of the tremendous work done by the Jimmy Fund: patients and their families, doctors, nurses, researchers, care-givers, WEEI and NESN, the Red Sox ... EVERYBODY! Thank you and God bless you all!
I was diagnosed in 1984 with a rare form of rhabdo miyo sarcoma. By most estimates I had less than a 5% chance of survival. A family friend said my parents needed to get me to Children's and the Jimmy Fund. Shortly after Labor Day we packed up and moved to Brookline. For two years I went through chemo and radiation. As bad as it was at times, to this day I am grateful for the Red Sox, the Jimmy Fund, Children's Hospital and the thousands of people who have donated from their hearts.
My gift this year is in memory of Leah Tepper. She touched so many people in a very special way. When the little things in daily life bother us we would all do well to remember Leah's smile and courage.
A little girl with a rare form of brain cancer who is now in remission has taught me with positivity the world is possible. You are all very brave and always look to smile life is precious!love you little miss alli
My thoughts and prayers to all the jimmy find patiens
A few years ago I was on the telethon during my battle with ALCL. I'm now getting ready to finish up my last few days at my first summer job before starting my senior year in high school. I never would have gotten here without the Jimmy Fund. Please donate so more wonderful little children can make it to a day like this.
I volunteered today and had the opportunity to speak to the wonderful people that donated to the Jimmy Fund. So thankful to be part of such a great cause and to be able to speak to amazing people and talk to them about why the Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber are important to them.
