John Hirschbeck joined Mikey Adams and Joe Castiglione. John is an MLB umpire who was diagnosed with a form of testicular cancer described as treatable by Dr. Stephen Jones of the Cleveland Clinic, causing Hirschbeck, who had missed the entire 2008 season following back surgery, to miss the remainder of the 2009 season as well. After the tumor was removed via orchidectomy, the cancer was given a 10 percent chance of recurrence, and Hirschbeck returned for the 2010 season. After working a reduced schedule in 2011 due to back pain, Hirschbeck's cancer returned and he missed the 2012 MLB season.[11] His last contest before returning to umpiring's disabled list was Game 162 of the 2011 regular season between the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles. In August 2012, Hirschbeck advised he was again cancer-free and made plans to returned in 2013.

Barry Nelson joins Mikey Adams and Joe Castiglione. Barry was diagnosed with Stage 3b lung cancer in 2012. His treatment included: chemo, radiation (initially did chemo, then radiation, then back to chemo, other standard lung cancer drugs) and now he is on a clinical trial and he is currently receiving treatment. At Barry's most recent appointment, he had the opportunity to meet Dr. Gordon Freeman, a researcher at Dana-Farber, who's work helped start the field of immunotherapy - a very hot topic in cancer treatment right now. Barry was so touched to meet the man whose work led to the creation of the treatment he is currently on.

Meghan is a communications consultant and is married to Patrick. She has 3 boys: JP (6), Connor (4), and Gavin (2). Meghan was first diagnosed on May 23, 2012, age 30, with stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer), when she was 7 months pregnant with her 3rd son, Gavin. She found a lump in her breast. Her doctor thought it was hormones from the pregnancy, but eventually had it biopsied and she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. On July 15, 2014, she had just turned 33 and was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer (stage 4), the same breast cancer she was treated for, and it had returned to her lymph nodes and in her bones. It is not in any major organs at this point, which is promising. At this point, she will be on treatment for the rest of her life, but she and her doctors are hopeful that this treatment plan will be effective and she will live a very long happy life.

Owen, a 12-year-old from Nashua NH, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. In September 2013, Owen had severe pain in his stomach. After a visit to the ER he was diagnosed with a bowel intussusception. He had surgery, which went great but with tests run on his blood he was then diagnosed with cancer. His treatment consisted of 4 months of intense chemotherapy. The first 3 months went pretty smooth but during his last treatment he developed a couple of infections. This landed him in ICU for 7 days. His favorite part of the Jimmy Fund Clinic is a tie between the special care he receives and the cafeteria. His hobbies are PlayStation 3, Legos, iPad, and laptop. His favorite sport is basketball.
