By eliminating the top-seed Panthers, the No. 3 seed Wildcats advance to the Final Four for the first time since winning the national championship in 1985. Pittsburgh closed a four-point deficit in the final 30 seconds only to have Villanova win it near the buzzer. Levance Fields' desperation heave from 70 feet was off the mark. Villanova will face the winner of North Carolina-Oklahoma next Saturday in Detroit. Earlier, Connecticut beat Missouri, 82-75, to win the West regional and advance to their third Final Four since 1999.
