WEEI.com hockey writer Graig Woodburn passed away Sunday night. Woodburn, 50, had been battling pancreatic cancer.
A native of Ipswich, Woodburn covered both the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings for the Riverside (Calif.) Press Enterprise, The Associated Press, and Sporting News for the past decade. He served as a Bruins beat writer for WEEI.com throughout the 2009-10 season, last reporting on June's NHL draft in Los Angeles. (To read Woodburn's WEEI.com columns, click here.) [1]
Woodburn, a practicing lawyer, also played hockey competitively until recently.
