Joe Johnson had a game-high 36 points and the Atlanta Hawks overcame a 14-point deficit to edge the short-handed Celtics, 102-96, at TD Garden on Monday night. The Celtics built their first half lead to 35-21 in the second quarter, despite being without Kevin Garnett, Marquis Daniels and Rasheed Wallace, who was scratched just before the game with a sore left foot. Doc Rivers was ejected midway through the third for arguing a flagrant foul on Glen Davis. Jamal Crawford made two-of-three free throws after getting fouled on a three-point attempt with 2:12 remaining in the fourth to give Atlanta the lead for good, 98-96. Atlanta has won all three meetings between two of the top three teams in the Eastern Conference this season. For complete coverage, visit the Green Street blog.
