According to multiple reports, the NHL and players' association are meeting face-to-face on Saturday with a mediator as the sides try to come to terms on a new collective bargaining agreement.
TSN reports the remaining issues to be resolved are the salary cap for the 2013-14 season, the maximum length of contracts and salary variance.
The league and NHLPA met separately with federal mediator Scot Beckenbaugh on Friday, with Beckenbaugh going back and forth between the sides in an attempt to resolve issues.
