Jets coach Rex Ryan tried to escape to the Bahamas and avoid talking about his team's dreadful season and potential changes to his coaching staff, but he was tracked down by a New York Daily News [1] reporter and photographer.
Ryan cursed and waved off the reporter upon realizing he was discovered at the Cove Atlantis, but not until after the photographer snapped some photos of Ryan sunbathing and sporting an interesting tattoo on his right arm.
The tattoo appears to feature an image of his wife, Michelle, wearing a Mark Sanchez No. 6 Jets jersey and nothing from the waist down. She also appears to be Tebowing -- kneeling in a fashion made popular by Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow when he was with the Broncos.
Ryan, who was involved in a controversy two years ago when a video surfaced that appeared to feature him ogling his wife's bare feet, benched Sanchez late this season following the quarterback's turnover struggles. Sanchez is expected to return to the team next season due to the fact that his contract makes him virtually untradeable. Tebow is expected to be released or traded after being limited to spot duty and voicing his frustration with being passed over in favor of third-stringer Greg McElroy when Sanchez was demoted.
Ryan, who was reading "American Sniper" by Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, also has a tattoo of a shamrock and the names of his wife and two children.
