The Patriots have ruled out Rob Gronkowski, Brandon Spikes and Alfonzo Dennard for Sunday's game in Jacksonville. All three were limited this week in practice and were initially listed as "questionable" before the team ruled them out on Saturday night.
Gronkowski, as first reported by the Boston Globe on Friday, will be missing his fifth straight game since breaking his left forearm against the Colts on Nov. 18. Spikes has spent the last several weeks on the injury report with a knee issue but was also limited this week with an ankle injury. After injury-shortened seasons in his first two seasons, Spikes has played in all 14 games this year, with Sunday marking his first game missed of the season.
Spikes is second to Jerod Mayo on the team in tackles with 92 and is tied with Rob Ninkovich in forced fumbles with five.
Dennard, the rookie cornerback out of Nebraska, injured his right knee late in the first half last Sunday night against the 49ers and did not return. He was limited this week in practice.
