Making his weekly appearance on The Big Show, Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said that the 13-12 C's have yet to hit their stride and that it may take more time before the Celtics can put it all together.
"I just think that we're just beginning to find our identity," Ainge said. "I don't think it's there yet, and I'm not sure if it's going to be there in two weeks, but regardless of that, regardless of whether it's the perfect rotation, or we're missing players with injuries and all that, we've got to be more consistent.
"We've got to prevent those runs by other teams and those droughts that we have at the offensive end and giving up so many lay-ins on the defensive end. There's just no excuse for the way we're playing. Yeah, you need to take time to find out who we are, but there's no excuse for giving up 32 points in the paint in a half against Chicago, and there's no excuse for giving up a 17-0 run to Cleveland."
The Celtics will host the Bucks Friday at TD Garden. The C's are 1-1 against Milwaukee this season.
