After getting Wednesday off for an apparent maintenance day of rest, Tom Brady was back on the practice field Thursday with his Patriots teammates as they continued preparations for the Jacksonville Jaguars in shells outside Gillette Stadium. Brady threw a career-high 65 passes and missed practice on Wednesday for the first time this season.
The only player missing from the 52 players on the roster was linebacker Mike Rivera, who missed his second straight practice with an ankle injury.
The Patriots could be keeping the extra roster spot open for the return of defensive end Jermaine Cunningham, who is eligible to come off the suspended list on Monday for PED violation. He will serve the fourth and final game of his suspension this Sunday.
