Ryan Anderson had 23 points and 19 rebounds to lead Boston College to a 61-59 victory over New Hampshire on Sunday afternoon at Conte Forum.
BC (5-5) closed the second half on an 18-5 run to force overtime. BC then fell behind by five in OT before rallying. After going 0-for-19 from 3-point range in regulation, the Eagles hit 2-of-3 in the extra session -- the first by Lonnie Jackson and the second, which gave the hosts a 60-59 lead with 50 seconds left, by Olivier Hanlan. BC missed 3-of-4 free throws down the stretch but survived when UNH's Patrick Konan missed a 3-point try off the front rim at the buzzer.
Hanlan finished with 10 points, while Jackson had eight points and nine rebounds.
Ferg Myrick led UNH (4-6) with 21 points and eight rebounds. Chris Pelcher added 10 pooints and eight boards.
BC is off until next Saturday afternoon, when it hosts Providence.
