San Francisco wide reciever Mario Manningham has been ruled out for Sunday night's game against the Patriots at Gillette Stadium with a shoulder injury.
Manningham, a member of the Super Bowl XLVI champion New York Giants receiving corps, was signed by the 49ers before this season. He has 41 catches for 449 yards and just one touchdown this season in 12 games this season. He suffered a shoulder injury against the Rams on Dec. 2 and missed last week's game against the Dolphins.
The Patriots have not ruled any players out for Sunday, but have listed 19 players as questionable for the game, including tight end Rob Gronkowski, who has missed the last three games with a broken left forearm. The Patriots will need to deactivate only six players from their roster for Sunday's game since they are carrying only 52 players on their active roster.
