Niners edge rusher Aldon Smith doesn't sound intimidated by the Patriots offense, saying Thursday that San Francisco has "played good offenses before" and adding, "We can stop them."
Smith, who leads the league with 19.5 sacks coming into Sunday night's game at Gillette Stadium, told Bay Area reporters [1] that because of San Francisco's wins over the Packers and the Lions, he has confidence when it comes to the idea of stopping the New England defense.
"Yeah. We’ve played good offenses before," Smith said. "This isn’t the first offense we’ve played that has talent. Tape shows what happened. We’ll just put it back on tape again."
