Freshman point guard Siyani Chambers scored 17 of his 21 points in the second half, including the game-winning jumper with four seconds remaining, to give Harvard a 65-64 victory over visiting Boston University on Tuesday night.
Wesley Saunders added 16 points for the Crimson (5-4). His free throw with 47 seconds left gave Harvard a 63-62 lead. BU (3-6) answered when D.J. Irving, who scored a game-high 24 points, hit a jumper with 19 seconds left. But Chambers had the final answer with his late jumper. Irving missed a shot as time expired.
Christian Webster contributed 13 points for Harvard, which trailed by seven at the half. Kenyatta Smith contributed five blocked shots.
Dom Morris amassed 15 points and 12 rebounds for BU, while Maurice Watson Jr. scored 12 points.
Harvard now heads into a break for fall exams, returning to action on Dec. 22 with a home game against Holy Cross. BU next hosts Quinnipiac on Sunday afternoon.
