An obscene gesture toward fans in Philadelphia Friday night has resulted in a $25,000 fine for Celtics big man Chris Wilcox. NBA vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson made the announcement on Sunday.
Wilcox’s actions occurred during a timeout with 8:47 remaining in the 4th period of the Celtics' 95-94 overtime loss to the 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center.
Wilcox was not assessed a technical foul on the play, which was reviewed on video by the league.
