According to multiple reports, the Dodgers have agreed on a six-year, $147 million deal with right-hander Zack Greinke, with the $24.5 million average annual value of the deal representing a new record for pitchers.
Greinke, who turned 29 in October, went 15-5 with a 3.48 ERA and 200 strikeouts (along with 54 walks) in 212 1/3 innings. The 2009 AL Cy Young winner won't move far, as he finished the year in Southern California with the Angels.
