According to multiple reports, the NHL and NHLPA will not meet this weekend after negotiations took a turn for the worse on Thursday evening.
SportsNet's John Shannon tweeted Friday [1] that the two sides could be in some form of contact, but they will not meet. The sides made progress in negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement this week, but when the players responded to the owners' offer Thursday with an offer of their own rather than a decision, the owners pulled what had been negotiated off the table.
