After being spotted at Patriots practice for a second straight day, and barring any late setbacks, Logan Mankins and Chandler Jones will be ready to play Monday night when the Patriots host the Texans at Gillette Stadium, according to a report by CSNNE's Mike Giardi.
Giardi tweeted Thursday, "being told Logan Mankins will play Monday, barring a setback. Pats plan all along. He'll join Chandler Jones."
Jones injured his right ankle on Nov. 18 against the Colts in the first half and did not return. Jones hadn't played or practiced before returning to a walk-through on Wednesday. Mankins, who has been battling hip and calf issues this season, injured his left ankle against the Bills on Nov. 11 and hasn't played since.
Also in attendance was running back Brandon Bolden, eligible to come off his four-game suspension this week for violation of the NFL performance enhancing drug policy. The Patriots received a roster exemption this week in order to allow Bolden to practice with the team. Before the four-game suspension, Bolden injured his knee and hasn't played since rushing six times for 28 yards against the Seahawks on Oct. 14.
Rob Gronkowski (forearm) and offensive lineman Nick McDonald were the only players not spotted at practice Thursday, held in shells on the grass fields outside Gillette Stadium.
