Cornerback Sterling Moore has been plucked off the Patriots practice squad by the Cowboys, according to Moore's agent, Jordan Woy.
The 22-year-old Moore, who was signed away from the Raiders last year and eventually became a key part of New England's rotation in the secondary, had 13 tackles this season in eight games before being placed on the practice squad. The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder out of SMU, who played both corner and safety for New England, achieved his greatest success with the Patriots in last year's AFC title game when he knocked away a late pass intended for Baltimore receiver Lee Evans that would have given the Ravens a fourth-quarter lead.
