Following Rajon Rondo's two-game suspension, the Celtics recalled Kris Joseph from their NBA Development League affiliate.
The 6-foot-7 rookie forward averaged 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 block in two games while on assignment for the Red Claws. The C's second-round pick made his NBA debut on Nov. 2, playing just three minutes against the Bucks.
Joseph provides reinforcements for the Celtics, who play back-to-back games this weekend, hosting the Blazers on Friday and traveling to Milwaukee the following night. Rondo's suspension combined with Avery Bradley's injury and Darko Milicic's waiver had left only 10 players available for duty.
