FOXBORO -- After a three-day weekend and no action since crushing the Jets on Thanksgiving, the Patriots returned to the practice field Wednesday in full pads. Six Patriots were not spotted outdoors in the cold on the lower practice field.
Offensive linemen Dan Connolly, Markus Zusevics, Logan Mankins and Sebastian Vollmer were not seen while Rob Gronkowski, Chandler Jones, Jermaine Cunningham (suspended) and Brandon Bolden (suspended) were also missing.
Connolly returned on Thanksgiving from a back injury while Mankins missed his second straight game and fourth contest in the last five games.
