Making his weekly appearance on The Big Show Monday, Patriots coach Bill Belichick offered little comment on the news that the league had suspended defensive end Jermaine Cunningham for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
"It's unfortunate," Belichick said, "but it's a league discipline, so we don't really have any control over it or say in it."
The suspension will keep Cunningham, 24, out for the next four games. According to The Boston Globe, Cunningham's failed test was caused by his use of Adderall. The third-year player out of Florida has 23 tackles (15 solo) and 2.5 sacks this season.
