Dyami Starks scored all 17 of his points in the second half, including a tiebreaking layup with 1:44 remaining, and Bryant knocked off Boston College, 56-54, on Sunday afternoon at Conte Forum.
Olivier Hanlan scored 19 points for BC (2-4). Joe Rahon netted 11, and Ryan Anderson had eight points and 14 rebounds.
Frankie Dobbs had 15 points and eight rebounds for Bryant (3-2).
BC was within a point with 31 seconds left, 55-54, after two free throws from Hanlan. Dobbs hit a free throw to restore the Bryant lead to two with 12 seconds remaining. Hanlan was called for a charge with three seconds left, but BC got another chance when Bryant turned over the ball on the ensuing inbounds play. However, Anderson's long 3-point try at the buzzer fell off the rim.
BC next plays at Penn State on Wednesday (9:15 p.m.) in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
