According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports [1], Celtics center Darko Milicic is "leaning strongly" toward leaving the C's and the NBA to return to Europe to be with his family.
Milicic would leave for the season to be with his ill mother in Serbia, though Wojnarowski notes that the center has been frustrated with his limited role with the Celtics. The report also states that Milicic leaving could spell the end of his NBA career and that C's coach Doc Rivers recently told Milicic to take his time with his decision regarding his family situation and his future.
The second overall pick in the 2003 draft, Milicic played for Detroit, Orlando, Memphis and Minnesota before signing a one-year deal with the Celtics in the offseason. He has played in just one game this season, logging five minutes in the second game of the season against Milwaukee.
