Tom Brady, during his weekly Monday morning appearance on Dennis & Callahan [1], indicated that he expected no pity from the rest of the NFL for the injury to Rob Gronkowski that is expected to sideline the standout tight end for 4-6 weeks.
Later Monday, Jets coach Rex Ryan proved him right [2].
"I never like to see anybody get hurt, but I'm not sad he's missing our game," Ryan said.
The Patriots and Jets play Thursday night at MetLife Stadium, and Ryan offered no prediction as to how the Patriots would adjust to make up for Gronkowski's absence.
"I don't know," he said, acccording to The Star-Ledger [3] of Newark, N.J. "They have like five tight ends on their roster, so I don't know if they will put another guy in that role. New England is so multiple."
